Before today I had never heard of Severe Weather Awareness Week. Apparently each state may pick its own week and weather local to the state.
Alabama and Tennessee held theirs on February 19 - 24 and created an excellent website, http://www.srh.noaa.gov/hun/?n=severewxawarenessweek_2012, with daily topics. Minnesota, April 16 - 20, also has a good site with information at
I have not found a dedicated site for NY or CT.
